    Return and Exchange Policy

    Our goal is to ensure our customers are completely satisfied - we deliver on promises and honor commitments. If for any reason you are not satisfied, subject to the applicable warranty and the limitations and exclusions below, simply return with the original receipt within 30 days of the purchase date for a refund or replacement.

    SERVICE WARRANTY

    Automotive service and installed parts are warranted for 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, unless different warranty terms are specified on your Invoice. Please see the “Limited Warranties” page of your Invoice for further details regarding the warranty on service and installed parts.

    EXTENDED LABOR WARRANTY (ELW) CANCELLATION

    Pep Boys offers an optional Extended Labor Warranty to customers for purchase with select services, which extends the limited warranty to 12 months with unlimited mileage. ELW can be canceled within 30 days of purchase. Simply fill out a cancellation form and send it to the Warranty Administrator. The Pep Boys store where ELW was purchased will refund the cost with confirmation of cancellation (as provided by Warranty Administrator to customer).

     

    NO RECEIPT?

    No receipt, no problem. If you do not have your receipt, you may return your purchase for an in-store credit at our lowest selling price during the previous 30 days. You will need to provide a valid form of identification to return an item without a receipt.

    PAID BY CHECK?

    If you paid by check we unfortunately cannot accept your return until the 15th day after the date of purchase.

    SALES TAX REFUND

    In some states, sales tax is non-refundable without a receipt, or after a state-specified time period. If your purchase was made in one of these states the refund of any sales tax you paid will be in accordance with applicable state law.

     

    EXCLUSIONS

    • If installed, performance accessories, electrical items, electronics, and tire chains cannot be accepted for return
    • Opened or consumed products cannot be accepted for return
    • Clearance merchandise is not eligible for return
    • The eligibility for return of Outside purchased parts (for example, items THJ Auto is required to procure to satisfy a customer’s special request or services that are outsourced to a third party) may be subject to the restrictions of the supplier.
    • Parts / products purchased from Auto Plus cannot be exchanged by or returned to THJ Auto
